[GUIDE] HOW TO CONVERT ARCHIVE.ORG LIBRARY .ACSM FILE INTO PDF

This step by step guide will enable you to produce a pdf file out of .ascm file. The borrowed pdf books from archive.org library are in .ascm file format. It is very annoying that you cannot save archive.org pdf books for offline reading. Follow the guide below to successfully get a pdf file out of .ascm file.

Step-01

Download and install Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) (download here)

Open .ascm file you downloaded from archive.org, after the ADE is installed. ADE will ask you to authorize the PC by signing-in with the ID from the book vendor you downloaded/borrowed book from. Just put those credentials and sign-in OR alternatively there is an option at the bottom left side to authorize the PC without ID. You can choose what you like. Once PC is authorized the book will start fetching from the archive.org database into ADE software.

Step-02

Once the book is loaded and opened in ADE, go to the file menu and click "Show in Explore" . You will be directed to the location on hard drive where fetched book against .ascm file is present in the form of pdf. Now this pdf is DRM protected. You cannot read it unless DRM protection is removed.

Step-03

Now download and install Epubsoft Adobe PDF ePub DRM Removal software from HERE

Open the Epubsoft, click "Continue" to avail the trail period or "Register" to use software. After that click "add ebook" and slect DRM protected pdf (found at step-2). Now single click on pdf file to select and click "Convert Now!" button at bottom right side. DRM protection removal process will start and green progress bar will show up. When process is finished the progress-bar space will be completely filled up with green color. Once done, click "Open" button right under the "Browse" button, it will take you to the location where DRM protection free pdf file is saved.
